Maybe it's just me, but, if you have to ask a person to cuddle with you, you might make it seem like they are doing you a favour. You should be able to simply go up to him and hug him, cuddle, yada yada.
Obviously, don't suffocate the man, but, you should know how affectionate of a person he is, so judge from that.
Every person and relationship is different of course. But in general, you should be able to ask your man anything when it comes to your relationship with him. If you are the cuddling type, then let it be known, you might have to hold back a bit though, and likewise, if he isn't, he should be able to give a bit as well, if he really cares about you.
You should never just sit back and wait though. Holding back your emotions will eventually make you feel unappreciated and 2nd best.
Communicate though if you must and just ask.

Imagine that you are him for a minute, besides the occasional urge to get it on, he might not be thinking about anything remotely close to cuddling with you. The longer you sit back and do nothing, the more likely you are to get upset and angry with him, that also increases the chances of him having no idea why you are upset with him. Don't force the issue though. It is better to create situations such as watching a movie, taking a picnic in the park, or taking him out to a restaurant that has bench seats. In these situations it becomes easier to get what you want without saying it, such as saying, "Here honey, sit up close to me" or just reach over and start giving him a gentle neck massage. And don't forget to dress and do your hair the way he likes. Most importantly, the more you do for him, the more you'll get in return. If you do not see a change for the better in him after making him comfortable and happy, then he's either oblivious and needs you to spell it out, or he's not a keeper.

What is so wrong about that? You want some cuddle time! We all go through that and we need some time with our counterparts just to feel good or to relax ones troubles on one shoulders! Nothing wrong with that. Now if he says no then there is something wrong with that.

If your man doesn't want to cuddle, he must be lacking love for you. I want to cuddle with my wife any chance I get and we have been together for 10 years

i honestly do not know why your man is like that. i love cuddling :D
but if you want some cuddling time, you hsould ask for it. playfully. then reward him afterwards

i love it, so just ask. you will be subprised he will love you for it. just make sure you are lying or sitting so he is comfotable so his arm does fall asleep. while you are lying with him tell him how much the aprishate what he is doing and how much you love or adore him. you take care of him he will take care of you
