There is a cover on top of the cylinder head that looks like a valve cover. Remove the top portion of this cover. Underneath you will find the ignition coil packs and spark plugs.

There are no spark plug wires as the coil packs plug directly onto the spark plugs.

They are under the plastic cover on top of the motor that says something like DOHC. There is 4 5/16ths bolts that are taken off with a 1/2 or a 13mm wrench. The cover will have to be gently pried up and then it will slip off. There will be 4 spark plug connectors which are only about 3" long that either come off with the cover or will have to be wiggled off after. Now you can access the spark plugs. Be sure to blow out the holes as dirt and crap will damage the aluminum threads. Reverse procedure to install. Good luck.

It is a front wheel drive car, so the motor sits sideways in the engine compartment. the spark plaug will be under the exhaust manifold on the front and the rear of the motor.. On my old car it was front wheel drive and it was a pain in the butt to change the plugs.. so good luck
