The bible says 'love your nabhiour as yourself' (or something along those lines). It also gives the story of the good samartin. So, if you seen a person in desperate need of help, would you do like thegood samartin and bring him into your home and give him the help he needs, even if his beleifs contradict your own? or would you contradict your own beleifs by casting him away?
Honest answers please, and give a reason for you're answer.

And who mentioned anything about converthing people? I know i certinally didn't. all I'm asking is would you help someone of another belief who is in serious need.
Please keep to the question.

Raven's Voice, I am not assuming anything. I am mearly asking deeply relighious people weather they would help out people whose beliefs contradict their own. I know the detials added are from those from the christian bible, but the question could easily apply to ANY relighion.

Raven's voice, Well, i don't know enough about other relighions to quote from their 'holy book' or whatever. I know that is ignorance on my part, and i apoligise for that. but i connot give examples from that which i do not know.
But thank you for your answer, and please try to keep in mind that not all assumptions and insults are intentional, but an oversight. You have of course pointed out that oversight to me, so thanks for that also.

It would all depend on if they were dangerous or not. If they had their own opinion on their own religion (And kept it to themselves if they dissagreed with my beliefs) then I would help them out. Im not sure if they would stay in my home persay, but I would help them out as much as possible without making them a house guest. LOL Unless of course they were in diar need of shelter. I always try to help out the other person after all, you never know when you may need their help!

You question is predicated on the erroneous assumption that the only deeply religious people are Christians.
Why is that?
EDIT: In that case, perhaps one ought not to use the religious language of only one religion, as it does tend to give the impression I stated above. Do you actually think that if you have in your question 'The bible says' that Hindus and Pagans and Taoists and Jains and Shintoists and Muslims will think you're speaking about/to them?
But to answer the question:
My willingness to help someone out has no relationship to the religion they practice, or having no religion at all.
Unless maybe we're talking about helping someone OUT of my home...in which case their religiosity may increase my enthusiasm for doing that.

Definately Yes.This is not just a simple request from God to us (so that we can decide whether we feel like doing it or not....iow.so that we can decide about it and get back to Him on it...if you know what I mean?)
Instead...
Its an ORDER , like any of the other orders He has given in His comandments. The Bible warns us by saying, if we only do good to thsoe that does good unto us, then we have lost the rewards that are kept for us up in heaven.the "bible" per se. is not the holiest authority in this phrase here...because it is only a book...The most important to remember here that It is GOD himself that commands this of us, and He is of higher authority than a mere piece of paper or a book.So yes.I will.I do it anyway.

Absolutely. But there are 10 commandments, the one about the neighbor is this: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 20Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor.
17You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; 21Neither shall you covet your neighbor’s wife.
you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Now, to answer your question; would I helps someone who desperately needs food and shelter? Yes. This day in age, it probably is not safe to bring a stranger into your home, but there are other ways of helping someone. I personally would get him/her some food, take he/she to a shelter or a hotel. Then I would check up on him or her.

I'm not actually deeply religious, but;
'Love the sinner, hate the sin.'
I don't ask people if they're christian before I help them. Unless it turns out that they're planning a terrorist strike I wouldn't feel bad if they were any religion.

Well being since you don't seem to know exactly what the Bible says.. you don't know if I would do the "Christian" thing or not.
But yes, just because someone believes differently than me doesn't take away the fact that they are people and the God Loves them just as much as he does me.
I don't think the religion should have anything to do with it. If we are physically able to help someone, we should.

Do it all the time. Christianity aside it is also human decency to help those in need.

Jesus said you will know us by our love. If you meet a christian that does not display love, you might not have a christian on your hands.
