The only place you see those small biro`s are in betting shops. Does anyone know why they use these half size pens ?

because they are cheaper ink is the most expensive part of a pen and the smaller a pen is the less ink it holds , pens in a betting shop usually end up in someones pocket within an hour .

Don't know, but I hate those sodding little pens, I find them revolting, it's the image they conjure up, ugghhhh! Maybe they're small because the bookies & Argos know they are going to get lifted by people so they make them easy to stick in your pocket?

Bigger pens are more expensive to replace than small pens coz mosty people steal them,,Argos also use small pens

Because people nick them all the time. Making them small reduces the incentive to nick them, plus the nicked ones don't cost as much as full-sized ones.
