Yeah, I think a visit to the Dr. would be a good idea also. Try laying down with her and just have quiet time, even if she's not being quiet. Maybe if she see that you aren't excited or upset she'll calm down.

Baby cries for few reasons:- Wet, cold, hungry or colic. If all of these has been checked, please bring her to a pediatrian for a proper checkup. There could be something seriously not well.
If your pediatrian confirm that there's nothing physically wrong with her, you may want to try massaging her nightly before sleep with baby lotion. It helps calm baby down and bond her to mummy. Talk to her. Your voice will calm her down. After sometime, she will listen. Patience is very important and most of all, even if she frustrates you, do not ever shake her. It can cause serious damage to baby.
Some kids cries for no reason and only at a certain timing. A warm, soothing bath before bedtime can help. It could be just a passing phase and she will be alright the next day.

My friends son did this too. We thought that maybe he had colic and it started late. He didn't cry, he screamed, like he was in pain. She took him to his routine appt. and here he had a problem with his stomach. He ended up having an operation. He's fine now. Consult the pediatrician. Maybe teething? It could be a number of things. Just remember that when you get upset, the child can feel that and it will only get worse. I feel for you! I have a 4 yr old and an 8 month old. I've been there! Everytime my 8 month old goes to my mother-in-laws for the weekend I go thru this. Good luck. I'd like to know how it works out for you!

I have a 1 year old daughter. A few weeks ago she acted the same way. I took her to the peditrician and she had an ear infection. I know my peditrician gets a sick child in the same day you call. That is your best bet since she cannot tell you what is wrong. Also, at this age they are teething. But do not assume this is the case. Get her to the doctor's. Good Luck

Def. take her to the doc, atleast for peace of mind. But guess what. Thats parenting, sometimes they do that. If there not sick or hurt, I beleive its a stage were they test for boundries. Its our job as parents to find or invent (LOL) ways around there sour behavior. You will want to get frustrated, DON'T being calm will pay dividens in the end. About the eating thing let her chose between a couple of items to eat then maybe she will eat it since it was her choice.

Absolutely take her to her doctor to make sure that she is healthy. My first thought ~ when I read your post ~ was that your daughter has an ear infection. Children with ear infections (which are very common) often cry, cannot be comforted, and refuse to eat or drink ~ as the sucking and swallowing action hurts their ears.
If that is not the case, and she gets a clean bill of health, perhaps she has gas. Have your tried those little drops? I can't remember the name ~ but they are for babies with gas. Worked miracles with one of my children.

Definately get her to a pediatrician. My son was like that and I tried everything to help him and nothing worked. Come to find out he had a hernia that I couldn't see. So, you never know with babies. Take her in to be checked. Good Luck

Take her to the doctor. They will prescribe her something that will help her feel better and then she will probably sleep and you can get some rest yourself.

Is she teething? If not, take her in. If she is, give her some crushed ice or a popscicle and look up "teething" on Yahoo Answers!
