my husband and i was still having sex in the third trimester we even had sex about a day or before my son was born but they do say that at the end of your pregnancy if you want to go into labour have sex it brings on the labour. which that is what we did because i was getting fed up with being pregnant by that point and my son was born only 4 days early

You can have sex as long as you are comfortable, but if you are contracting I would wait because sex can put you into labor, trust me i know. I also know that when you go into premature labor that the doctor will tell you not to have sex, because I went threw all of that and had to wait 2 months before i could have sex again. It is true that after you have the baby that you have to wait 6 weeks because you have to let your stitches heal. You can maybe have foreplay on each other though now and after the babys born. I would sustain from sex though if your not full term until the seventh. But after the 7th then go for it, hey nothing better than having sex and then going into labor lol

Im not sure i understand your question....are you worried that 6 weeks after you give birth you still wont feel like having sex? That could be true for you...epsecially if you have made it 8 months on 'about 2 or 3 times' If you dont think you will be able to wait THAT long after having the baby - the general rule would be to wait until all the bleeding has stopped (that could be a week, could be a month) usually more like a month. Remember there other ways to enjoy each other without actual sex.

Sex isn't dangerous in any respect for the period of being pregnant until your medical professional exceptionally tells you to not have intercourse. It would possibly of harm b/c you and your husband have not had intercourse in awhile. And you may also spot a few blood when you did have sex. But until you're top danger or on mattress leisure or have every other clinical illness, intercourse is quality. It too can set off exertions later within the weeks. So have a laugh and do not fear until you begin to bleed and soak a pad. Then cross to L&D asap
