while they have protein they also have cholesterol
1-2 a week isn't bad but i wouldn't suggest eating them every day
if you really enjoy having eggs for breakfast try just having egg whites which is where the protein is
the yolk is the problem
or try eating egg beaters

Generally, you should not eat more than 7 eggs per week because of the cholesterol in them. If you only eat egg whites, or 1 yolk per every 2 or 3 eggs you could probably up the amount of eggs consumed per week.

how many do you plan on eating a day?
in the old days (read 10 years ago) they thought that more than 2 eggs a week, was bad for you, however these days they recommend more than that.
there's good and bad cholesterol and eggs contain and lot of the good stuff and is therefore good for you. They're also low in calories and extremely versatile
I eat 6-8 a week and I'm healthy

any thing to excess can be harmfull. You can die from drinking too much alcohol, and even water. If you eat like 2000 eggs in one day you may be getting really sick.
