You did not say what your first language is, because that will help in giving you a good answer.
I do not know what programs are available unless Pimslar (sp) has one. They have programs to teach another language to English speaking people, so they may have the kind you are looking to have.
I learned some Spanish from people who spoke Spanish and they learned English from me. We traded language lessons.
By the way your question only had one mistake in it. The word "improving" should have been "improve my".
Also, if you watch the news you will hear the proper pronunciation of English.

If you are serious about learning English, you need to enroll to this course on-line.
I know a website that offers a wonderful on-line Lanaguage learning program. This program contains comprehensive English and Spanish lessons from pronounciation, conversation, to sophisticated Business Presentation. There are lessons for novice learner for Mandarin, Russian, and Latvian as well. French and Japanese to come. There are interactive audio lessons and tests to help you learn English progressively. This website does charge a very minimal cost. It's all worth it. The website is: http://www.learningwell.en101.com Press the enroll tab to enroll.

Honestly, the cheapest and easiest way to improve would be to use Windows WORD. Microsoft WORKS should be good, too. And should come already installed on your computer.
Each of these programs will take what you type and underline mispelled words with red and underline wrong verbs in a different color. When you right click on the underlined portion, it gives you choices and recommendations for you to see how it should be.
They also have a thesaurus to help you see the different words for whatever word you highlight.
Good luck to you!

Instead of software (that will teach you proper English that no one really uses), perhaps you should try forums like this and chat rooms to brush up on the skills. Obviously, choose forums and chat rooms where you aren't learning how to speak ebonics (or a white suburban form of it) and practice your interactions that way. Hope this helps!

Try ESL Podcast (www.eslpod.com). It's a short story from everyday life in English, then explanation of the words that were used and then the story again, at a native rate of speech.
