I just Got A New "Digital Optical Cable" For My Surround Sound and I can’t Get it to Work. I Plugged it Several Times to Make-Sure It Was Plugged In Right and I Still Couldn’t Get it To work. A Little Icon Would Appear For About 1/2 of A Second Or Less on DVD Player Surround Sound That Read "DIGITAL". I just Thing That Cable Is Defective. I would Like to Know if Anybody has Had This Kind Of Trouble Before.

It's possible. Make sure you didn't bend it too much when you installed it. Inside is glass so if you bend it too much it can break. Make sure there are no 90 degree angle bends.

Sure, anything mass Produced can have flaws but there's a simple way to check. Just connect the Optical Cable to You DVD Player or any other device that has a Optical Input and check to see if, after connected, You see a Signal through the Cables. (The end not connected should glow red from the Optical Signal being sent from the Unit)

yes anything can be pretty much defective when you purchase. Nothing is 100% ganuranteed. We are humans and humans make errors. Just take the product back and get a refund or exchange.

That has happened to me twice. What happens is when a customer comes back and do a refund or exchange some stores take that same product and resell it. When a product comes in they are suppose to tag it and return it back to the manufacturer and some stores don't. That is why it becomes very important for you to keep your RECIEPTS to take back to the store of purchase so you don't have any problems.

Yes, no matter how well they test the product, ANYTHING can be bad straight out of the box.
