Some people's minds or, more specifically memories tend to slack off as the years creep by. However, there are just as many older people who maintained excellent recall and photo vivid memories. Minds, like muscles, need to be excercised. The human brain also requires nutrition, so go with a good Bvitamin. Other supplements for mental alertness include ginko biloba and lecethin. It pays to pay attention to your surroundings ......and enjoy what you are seeing. Take note of every thing.

I'm just guessing here.

Maybe one of the reasons is because of hormone levels? I say this because it's a common symptom of women who've fallen pregnant and who are going through the menopause, they're both hormone related. And as we age, our hormones are changing constantly.

Another reason may be stress - the older you become, the more likely you aren to be less financially well off due to retirement and health etc.

Health issues is another one. My father recently had a stroke and his memory has suffered because of it :(

Another reason may be because you're not as active as you once were - physically and mentally?

Apparently, our brains can regenerate memory brain-cells by exercising..... http://www.memorise.org/memoryGym.htm

My memory gets totally stuffed when I'm worried and stressed.

thats coz after a certain period of time as u get older ur body stops producing brain cells , there is nothing abnormal about it , just keep ur brain active by doing something .As people get older most become very lathargic in nature, this might be another reason for that........
