I'm not a Christian, but I do believe that Jesus lived. He wasn't the son of "God," but I'm sure there was a kind and loving man who embodied the Biblical characteristics of Jesus.
If you think about it, Jesus was a hippie. He hung out with the freaks and geeks of his day; the prostitutes, the lepers, accountants, etc....He was a kind man. Non-judgemental. Loving.
But I don't think he was the son of an absolute higher power.

I am not religious, but i do believe Jesus existed. I don't think there can be much debate about if he existed or not. I think the question is really "Was Jesus who he claimed he was". Not to offend Christians or anything but personally i think Jesus was simply a very charismatic man who could influence people and had a positive message that people needed to hear. I don't wish to make comparisons but in recent history, we also have such characters (Martin Luther King etc). I would never be arrogant enough to say this is true, but it's my truth i guess.

A vast majority of the United States believes in Jesus.
This is common knowledge.
