money to buy food? If he was running his own business, what was he manufacturing or ploughing, and from whom did he draw his customers?

During His ministry He likely was taken care of by His followers. He didn't own a home or have a family, so His needs were modest. He was a trained carpenter, but it isn't clear if he worked during His ministry years.

Wait a minute!! You're smart enough to make a half million bucks a year, but you're not smart enough to spend a couple thousand to obtain professional help for your taxes? The few bucks you spend for a CPA will save you many times that amount in taxes. They can tell you many ways to legally lower your taxes, and will include tax planning, so you can pay even less in the future. This great country affords you the opportunity to make that kind of money with nothing but your mouth and a good product, and you gripe about paying to support the country? Paying taxes into this great country is not a joke, as you suggest. It is a privilege we have been given. As has been previously suggested, if you're unhappy with our tax system, try living in other countries. Also, you're not paying Jesus taxes. Why are you using His Name when you don't even know Him? He means a lot to me. He has done so much for me, including saving me from possible death this week. I resent it when people misuse His Name, just as He resents it. Back to your question: There are legal ways to avoid some taxes. Get professional help.

As far as taxes, on at least one occasion, Jesus performed a miracle to get tax money. See Matthew 17:24-17 where he has Peter caught a fish and the tax money for both of them is in the fish's mouth.

Luke 5:1-3 explains how Jesus and his disciples got money to live on. They had people, like those listed in Luke 5, who contributed to their ministry. Same as preachers and churches today.

Also, if you track the different times that Jesus taught, and the trips he made during his three years of ministry, you will find that he was only "on the road" for about half of each year. What he did during the other months is not listed. It is assumed, such his disciples had businesses and families, that they spend that time earning money and being with ther wives and children. The Bible does not tell us what Jesus did during those times (other that he makes one appearance at a feast in Jerusalem without his disciples). He may have also been making money as a carpenter during those times.

Peter actually paid his taxes when necessary. When his disciples weren't following him around 24/7, they still maintained their occupations. Either that or some disciples were sent elsewhere to spread his teachings, sometimes with his blessing and sometimes on his own. This is why some disciples are featured in some episodes and not others. It's also why the last supper was so memorable; it was one of the rare times that Jesus and all his disciples were together.

Jesus had some wealthy disciples and followers who supported Him. Judas who betrayed Him was His treasurer. He paid His temple tax from a coin taken from the mouth of a fish by Peter. If need be there is no problem for God to pour money down from heaven to Jesus as He is now pouring gold dust in some meetings. With God nothing is impossible and everything is possible.

He did not exist. Thats why there is very little & dubious information on an actual earthly existence. Paul doesnt even mention Jesus as a recent person of history. And his writings pre date the gospels by decades. And most of what christianity teaches is derived from Paul, for now

that's a trick question. and the royal families always find way's to regain and retain what lavishes they hold at the expense of the artful persons. so your question is of a different nature. why the royal families never really give up the payment for the labors of another and in so doing have used and abused the services of the kind keeping them at arms length.

There are several verses that hint that Jesus' ministry was supported by rich women, including several named Mary, there was also a Martha and Mary Magdalene (who was apparently extremely wealthy).

Good show, ladies.

(I think the verses are in John, don't recall off the top of my head.)

CJunk if you are saying that Jesus did not exist than you are saying that the Roman Empire didn't exist either.
