yes! But as the time goes on the cravings are less frequent and less intense. I don't think I'll ever get completely over them though.

I QUIT smoking cigarettes in 1994. I at that time smoked 4 packs a day. Once I had quit like after a year I lost the urge totally. But I HAVE since taken up to smoking cigars. I started cigars in like 2004 and smoke like maybe 8 a day. BUT since I do NOT inhale them I don't find it as bad. But who knows, I'm not a Dr.

I do occasionally, and the relief I feel when I wake up and realise that I haven't started smoking is incredible! Makes me worry though, in the dreams it feels like one cigarette would be all it would take for me to be back on 30 a day.
Well done on giving up :)

Had many a nightmare, disgusted with myself for starting again and then awake to find that to my relief it was a dream, they will fade eventually.

Unfortunately, once a smoker, always a smoker....even if you never smoke again

Yes, even after nearly 20 years of giving up. Funny you should say that 'cos a relative came around yesterday and is dying of lung cancer after years of abuse.
