My daughter has inherited very curly hair from my wife. She is very fair, with beautiful ginger hair, which is almost like afro hair. It is very tight curls, and as it has grown is just getting tighter. When you unravel a curl it is actually very long. At the moment we use detangler spray to comb and style it, as it get matted after she has been to bed. When we wash it, initial the water runs off it like it is waterproof!! Does anyone know of any products that we could use? Any products that are used on children with afro hair that might be worth a try? We want to try and find a product that is kind to children's hair, but will bring the curls down and make the best of them!! Can anyone help?

I have hair similar to your daughters. You should use Pink Lotion. It keeps the hair moisterized and healthy looking.

Afro-sheen works wonders. however it starts to burn if left in. but i think you should leave the girls curls alone!
