Most stereos allow you to input the code 3 times before locking you out.
Try to remove the negative battery terminal, wait a minute and then reattach. Try to input the correct code again.
If you are locked out then:
If this is the factory stereo, go to a dealership.
If this is an aftermarket stereo you will have to take it to a repair shop that works with that manufacturer.

Disconnect the battery earth for 20 minutes, re-attach and all should be well. All car stereos are basically the same and this has always worked for me. Make sure you press the right button when the code is put in again. No 6 on Ford.

Disconnect the neg battery terminal for approx 5 minutes and reconnect the battery should prompt you for the code. If you do not have the code the radio will need to be pulled out and write the serial number of the unit down and call the dealers parts room and see if they will give you the code.

Your vehicle must have such ideas interior the owner's guide or interior the unique files that got here with the vehicle. in case you may't locate it, you'll want to take your vehicle to the broking service to have it rectified, although that is going to value you. hi, all of us stay and learn.

Yeah, what kinda of car is it? GM, Honda? If it's a Honda, then you need to physically remove the unit and obtain the reference number and serial number from the head unit... Call Honda and give them these numbers and they will give you the code. I live in Lexington and our Honda dealer typically doesn't charge anything unless they have to remove the unit/reinstall. Now if it's a GM... Hmm... I worked on a H2 a few months ago and had this problem... any case on that note, I'd call your local GM dealer.

If you pull the head unit out of the dash, there will be a small buttom that will will need a pen to hit.. That is the reset button. If you hold it for 30seconds it will return the head unit to the way that it was stock. Most all head units have this.
