The human eye possesses a broader range of abilities, something ocular scientists are just beginning to recognize.

It may well be that your eyes are sensitive to a wider range of the spectrum than most. If so, what you are seeing are the bio-electric energy outputs of living organisms. If so, then you should be able to see that energy around EVERY living tissue, including plants and pets. Take a looksee.

What does it mean? Sorry, the jury is still out on that one. But, personally, I suspect that intensity is more important than color. The denser the aura, the healthier the individual. But, who knows. Eventually, the engineers will construct an instrument capable of taking readings and maybe then we'll find out if colors have meanings when associated with bio-electric energy fields.

And for you skeptics, Google up Kirlian photography.

There have been times when, in the right light or background, I've seen them, as well. What I saw was nothing more than the heat eminating from the body. There were no colors.

If you're getting colors, you may have an irregularity with your eyes or the visual sensing portion of your brain. The way you can rule this out is by trying to verify what you see.

For example, it has been said that a sick person will have a streak of red color in their aura in the damaged area. See if you can find someone who has been injured and verify.

Another way might be to try to compare the color spectrums you see in specific people. One person might range on the violet end while others will range on the orange end. See if you get the same gouping of colors every time you see one person, and a different consistent grouping with another.

These are things that your brain can't fabricate. Your eyes are supposed to pick up the Sun's spectrum, not a human being's spectrum, since human beings are not light emmiters.

There are levels of perception that some have vision to see where others seem to lack that vision. If it's simply colors you are seeing those typically indicate the emotions of the individual plus a hint at their general psych. Do you see any shapes or geometrical arrangements in people's energy fields? These supposedly indicate more on the mental level. Charles Leadbeater wrote a book which includes drawings of thoughtforms. I think it's available online. Children appear to see auras and you'll notice they often gaze right above a person's head instead of looking at a person's face. I think we'd all have the ability but we're told it's impossible and we're imagining things so we shut out the input. Usually the clearer more vibrant the colors appear indicates clearer emotions of a higher caliber. If you see muddied colors it indicates confusion.

Rather than understand them, how do they make you feel towards the person? Some may be stronger than others. Try to journal your own directory of how you percieve them and it may become apparent then. Good luck.

I don't think they mean anything, (not anything spiritual at least)

I had a friend that could see auras when she had migraine headaches, but objects had them too, so ...
