Here's a great quick and easy family meal...
Chop an onion and some mushrooms, brown them with the mince.
I usually pour off the fat at this point.
Add 1 large can of beef or oxtail soup and a good pinch of mixed herbs.
Simmer for 10-15 mins.
Add a large can of baked beans and heat through.
Goes with anything - baked/boiled/roast/mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, even chunks of bread

Hi, why not try a Beef Cobbler:
Recipe:
Fry of some finely chopped onions, add the mince & fry until brown, add some grated carrot (optional), make up some gravy, add to mince mixture, cook for about 3-4 mins, put in an ovenproof dish.
Cobbler mix is a basic scone mix, roll out like you would scones and cut into rounds either with pastry cutter or comprimise add use a cup.Add to top of mince cook in middle of over for about 25-30 mins until crisp & brown

Chili con carne always goes down well. If you are not sure of which spices and ingredients to use - it usually involves dried cumin, coriander, oregano and a little Cinnamon and cayenne pepper (or chili powder) with some diced green pepper, chopped onion, garlic and a can of rinsed kidney beans plus a can of tomatoes. Use about 1lb/450g meat for 4-6 portions (the veg bulks it out quite a lot). Add a little water if it gets dry as you cook it and don't put the kidney beans in until quite late as they are already pre cooked and just need to mix in with the other ingredients. Failing this, buy Colman's chili sauce mix (dry spice mix in packet/ sachet) and follow the recipe given on the back. Either way, serve with boiled long grain rice - yummy! Chili also reheats well. And you can of course add fresh chilies chopped up, but mind you don't put your fingers near your eyes afterwards as that will sting unless you wear gloves when you handle the chopped chilies!

Chilli Con Carne is really tasty. You can buy a packet mix for the spices at any good supermarket. Just add that, an onion, a can of tomatoes and a can of kidney beans and away you go. Top it off with grated cheese, sour cream, fresh tomatoes and corn chips!

Scotch eggs. Boils some eggs and shell them. Chop some onion and add it to the mince then wrap the eggs completely in the mince mixture. Roll in breadcrumbs and deep fry for about 5 minutes each.

you can make tacos, fajitas, or mix the mince with some herbs and make meatballs.
or loose meat sandwiches
or try making jacket potatoes- cutting them in half, pull out the contents, then mix them in a bowl , with spring onions, cheese and salt and pepper, put under the grill till they are bubbling and cheese is melted
