Mormons:
Three levels of "Heaven" and one Hell, known as "outer darkness"
Christians:
One Heaven, one Hell
Mormons:
To make it to the highest Heaven one must accept Jesus AND fulfill a number of Mormon doctrine. (Such as: Be married in the temple, be baptized, wear garments, serve the church through "callings" or jobs they are assigned, go to church, avoid alcohol and caffeine).
Christians:
To go to Heaven, one must accept Jesus into their life by confessing ones sins to God, knowing that Jesus died for their salvation, and desiring a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Mormons:
Believe in the Bible "in as much as it is translated correctly" Put more emphasis on The Book of Mormon. Also believe that the President of the Church is a prophet and can hand down new doctrine or change existing.
Christians:
Believe in the Bible exclusively and that it is 100% correct. Also believe God is "faithful" and is the same today as yesterday.
Mormons:
Believe if you are "sealed" in a temple, you and your spouse will be married in Heaven.
Christians:
As stated in Bible, there will be no marriage in Heaven.
There are many more differences, in fact, there are very few similarities. Hope this helped though.

Mormonism is a cult, unfortunately.
It was started by a man named Joseph Smith, who was an alcoholic who often had blackouts. He claims he saw a "vision' of an angel or prophet who gave him The Book of Mormon to transcribe. Earlier religious practices include polygamy (multiple and teenage wives). It still exists today, but these polygamists have broken off from the main church, but still consider themselves Mormons.
They place more emphasis on their founder, Joseph Smith and consider him a prophet. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on a cross for humanity's sins. They also believe in eternal life with Jesus, when He comes back to earth for His Church, or those who believe in Him.
Protestants pretty much believe in the same thing, except there are variations on how Jesus will return.
Catholics are a church to themselves. They have written their own doctrine over the years for the church to follow, and have some strange beliefs about prayer and other Biblical commandments. Then of course, there is the pedophilia corruption in the church.
Try doing a general yahoo search on these religions and see what comes up. You should be able to find their basic belief system and whatever else you want to find out.

There are many differences: Christians believe that God was not created but the creator, Mormans believe that God was once a person and became a God. Christians believe that God is male, Mormans have a heavenly Father and a heavenly Mother. Christians believe that Christianity crosses denominational lines, Mormans believe that they are the only true believers and to be saved that you have to be baptized into the Morman Church.
They also believe that if you are not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, then you are an apostate Church.
There are several other differences, also!

It is a big question. Scriptures (The book usually called the "Bible") tell us many things. I believe the Scriptures were inspired by the Almighty, and are the guidebook for our lives and our judgment. They tell us. A.) There is one Almighty Creator, and His name is YHVH. B.)His Son Yahoshua came and died for my sin so I don't have to endure the "SECOND" death, which is being totally consumed in the lake of fire which will consume all sinners, and cleanse the earth from all trace of sin after the SECOND resurrection. C.) We receive this grace (gift) through faith in the Messiah, not through works. D.)There are things we should do to reflect "the Messiah in you the hope of glory" (col. 1:27)-- and these things reflect our being in harmony with Him-- Honor the things He honors, and consider bad the things He considers bad. It is my perception that both "Mormonism" and "churchianity" fall far short of meeting these guidelines. (though in slightly different ways). Many books have been written on this subject, and if I wrote another here, I am sure no one would read it. You may contact me at --Hasse_john@yahoo,com. I love to study and discuss these things.

I can sense that this will be another opportunity for religiously intolerant people to attack *sigh*
Mormonism is a separate branch of Christianity from Protestantism, Catholicism or the Orthodox Church. They believe that the original church of Jesus Christ has been restored by Joseph Smith, Jr. who reestablished priesthood authority on earth and translated the Book of Mormon. Mormons are friendly, nice people who try to live good lives. Unlike the fundamentalist Christians who attack them, they don't bother other religious groups.
PS. I'm not a Mormon, but I have a very positive opinion regarding them. Investigate Mormonism for yourself, but ignore the anti-Mormon garbage that can be found on something fundamentalist Christian websites.

Those following the Book of Mormon (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) are essentailly Christian themselves. Just following a different (and they believe the only correct) version of "The Bible", or rather, that the Bible is too open to interpretation/interpreted badly elsewhere.
Wikipedia has a good analysis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormonism_and_Christianity
Most comparisons you'll find are incredibly biased.
I am neither Mormon nor Christian - I believe what I believe, and respect others right to do the same.

Mormons are Christians, or so they claim. They observe the religion of Christianity, they believe in Jesus and the gospels. That's close enough for me.
The problem is that book: the Book of Mormon.
It's an obvious fraud, yet they try to make you believe that's it's another gospel of Jesus. I don't get it.

Read about the 'Mormons' here. However, they don't like being called that. They say the book is the book of Mormon. As for the rest, google them.
