In UK Celebrity Big Brother, Ian 'H' Watkins from Steps paused for a long time when the question was being bandied around the house.
When pressed he said "umm.. 18 I think"

I feel this means he is embarrased about the real age he was, or he is still a virgin.

Don't have a problem with that at all.
I just wondered what everyone thought about this, and whether it was possible to not remember an event which is normally quite important to people...

Losing your virginity is a life altering event. Of course everyone remembers what age they were. He is hiding something.

I cannot remember, that is for certain; but then I am notoriously bad at remembering things other people think are important like what day I got married on, or my daughter's real birthday.

Life is too short for remembering the minute details! And before you ask, I only remember mine because every form I seem to sign asks my date of birth. Like I care.....

My guess is he was considering if you had to have slept with a women to be considered not a virgin.

But yes, of course I remember - 16 (not from lack of trying earlier than that!)

i was 13- not proud but hey.....

i think that he didnt loose his virginity for a long time, maybe he has known he was gay from a younger age and didnt have the guts to come out with it and has saved himself for the right man to come along.

He was probably 15 and was taken up the poop shute by some older man and is therefore protecting the dirty old bugger (exscuse the pun) from prosecution.

I was 14, so I was old enough to know what sex was but not old enough to understand it, plus I dont remember it being 'good'.
