They both can be recycled, but glass is less harmful than plastic. As someone said, glass is made of silica (basically sand) and plastic is a by-product of petroleum, which means it is more environmentally harmful to produce and also will be worse if it ends up in a landfill.

Both - Recycled plastic bottles and glass can be recycled!
Just make sure the plastic bottles have the recycle logo on them

Does America have recycling centres? It seems like a country that never bothers to give a damn about the environment. Maybe you should start a recycling campaign in your area.

Glass bottles r good for the envoronment.Because plastics donot
decayed.This affects the nature & usability of the soils.When we burn or recreate this no. of poisoness gas fumes are evolved.They are very dangerous to the normal envoronment & they make healthy problems.So comparatatively glass bottles are good.

Neither makes no difference, just so long as you recycle them.
Even reuseable containers use lots of energy and cleaning over their life.
