When you record on Sky+, can you set it to record for 5-10 mins past the program's finishing time, in case it overruns/starts late?

Yes you can. Go into 'services' then press number 5 and the menu will come up for adding minutes to the start/end of your prog.

Yes you can. In fact it is set to record a couple of minutes either side by default, but you can change this in the options menu.

However you will rarely need to, as the main channels actually update their schedules if a programme seriously over-runs, and the Sky+ picks this up automatically - it's set to record the specific programme, not the particular time.

No i dont think so...sky+ seems to only record for the time that your programme is on for example 8-8:30 and not 8:05-8:35 if it starts late.

You can manually set program times from the services menu.
