PBUH (Peace be upon him)

No, Christians just do whatever they want.
Take someone else's religious beliefs, then turn around and tell the ppl the got their religion from that they are going to hell,
for not believing Jesus is god.

(Hell, which was invented by the Christians )
--As an Atheist, I just think that's sooo funny. Silly Christains = )

As a Muslim, I just do it out of respect. Christians basically worship the same God as us, but have different views on key points. There are some Christians who DO say something respectful after saying Isa/Jesus's name, but there aren't alot. I'm guessing it's because they're more religious than others. Just like how some Muslims do a few pillars of Islam, but just leave out the others. Unfortunately, that happens in all faiths, but I don't want to give too many details because I have to leave in a little bit.

PBUH stands for Peace BE Upon Him, there's a saying of the prophet that roughly translates to whoever doesnt respond to my name being spoken by PBUH is very miserly.also, Allah and his Angels respond by saying PBUH after the name of the prophet is spoken.

It's just a sign of respect that's all it is, perhaps like when the Christians say may he rest in peace. It's for all the prophets or people of the religious books, from Adam all the way to the last person.

It is a request, a submission to all religious persons of all Religions to please mention all sacred and holy Names of persons and Books with honorific words. This etiquette is followed, religiously, in diplomatic communications--- like Excellency, like mentioning the official name of a country---infull. Such a courtesy is more due from the religious persons while mentioning their own or other persons' sacred persons and books. PBUH is the English translation of an acronym meaning: Allah's Peace be on him(the Prophet) !.* I am not a Christian, yet whenever I mention the name, I say"mylordJesus" just to be respectful to one who is held in high esteem by my Christian brothers. To be respectful is the basic in InterFaith Dialogue.

Alhamdullilah i am a Muslim
And i know very well that for each and every muslim it is neccesary to believe in Jesus(P.B.U.H) infact if any muslim doesn't believe in even one of the prophets Whether Adam(P.B.U.H)or Joseph(P.B.U.H) 'the denial of one prophet in Islam means the denial of every prophet and we muslims believe that it is neccerasy to say (peace be upon Him) after taking the name of any Prophet and we Muslims believe that we Muslims love and respect Jesus(P.B.U.H) more then the christians do and we also believe that Jesus(P.B.U.H) loves muslims more than the christians for a number of reasons and if i tell u all that i bet u will agree to me but please mail me u'r e_mail address from this site so i can tell u that but one big POINT u can seethat
U CHRISTIANS ARE LEARNING FROM THE MUSLIMS THAT HOW TO RESPECT JESUS!!!
THIS IS BECAUSE WE RESPECT JESUS MORE THEN U!!!
TRUE BUT SHOCKING IS'NT IT!
mail me u'e E-mail address so i can tell u what can bring u knowledge which u know not.
mail me u'r e mail addresss from this site i hope u know how to do it don't u?

because we love our phophets, some are: Jesus(pbuh) ,Mohommed(pbuh) ,Noah(pbuh) , Moses(pbuh) , Abraham(pbuh) . pbuh means peace be upon him, sometimes you will also see - may Allah be pleased with him. these men are phophets of God teaching the world Islam. No prayer is for a prophet, prayer is only for God, and God only.

Say, 'All praise belongs to Allah, and peace be upon those servants of His whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or that which they associate with Him?

And those who believe and act righteously, will be admitted into Gardens through which streams flow, wherein they will abide by the command of their Lord. Their greeting therein for each other will be, 'Peace be on you.'
