For Valentine's Day I would like to send the girl I love 11 red roses, with a note that reads: "You are the rose that is missing in my life". This should be a surprise to her, as I don't believe she would see this coming. Too sappy, or would this melt your heart? How would you react?

That is very sweet and comes from the heart. Me personally I wouldn't care what you did seeing how I'm happy with anything the smallest things mean the world to me.

It would really depend on who you were, if you were a friend that had some potential it would be sweet but if you were just some guy I worked with and didn't hardly talk to, then that would be creepy. But the whole idea is nice, though.
