Can you remember if you were a happy child under the age of 10?

I can't. But then I don't remember alot of my childhood... maybe becuase I was unhappy? Or is it common to not remember those years... i am in my 30's and don't remember much until I was 20.. is this common?

i remember thing in my child hood But i don't remember thing after i left my school i.e 11 & 12 th even i was 17 that time but those days were very bad .
i even don't like to recollect them

I can remember back to age 5, at age 5 the day after graduating from kindergarten i was hit by a drunk driver as i was riding my bike on the sidewalk.

I spent the next 3 years in a wheel chair going to physical therapy everyday as i was paralyzed from the waist down as a result of the injuries. Finally after 3 years of therapy i started to regain feeling in my legs, it was slow progress but finally was able to graduate from the wheelchair to braces and crutches.

At age 10 i was out of braces and crutches back walking on my own. I would say up to 5 years of age i was happy, but from age 5-10 i was miserable and unhappy.

If you don't remember much prior to age 20, i would think you may have been very unhappy and subconsciously have blocked those memories.
Sometimes people benefit from therapy in order to open up those blocked memories and accept whatever they were. Once this is done people tend to make very great positive strides in their lives.

I guess why i remember my childhood so much is my family is huge and they never let me forget it. It's like they feel i owe them something for all the cards and gifts i received during the recovery from my accident.

I mostly remember things from pictures I think. It's like I think I remember it but then I know I just saw it from a picture. I remember being shy but happy. I remember learning to write my name so I guess that was around 5 years old. I don't know. I remember my great grandma brushing my hair every morning and that was before I was in kindergarten. I remember my dad knocking the breath out of me once. I really don't remember alot though, especially once I started school. I do remember from like 5th grade on though. And definately all of my teenage years. Those were the best, unforgettable.

Yes I can remember. I had the hell beat out of me all the time, and was physically abused just about everyday of my life as a child. It sucked like a Big Dog.

i think people block things out i have i cant remember either i wonder the same thing just be happy dwelling on the past will leave you a bitter person so dont worry about years ago start today and be happy

I am 20 and I only remmember one of my birthdays which I can't remmember how old I was.
This is normal.
