Today I'll be going to my boyfriend's house for the weekend. Tonight we were invited to one of my friend's Gigs with some mates of mine and mates of his, we can no longer go because he is not feeling very well. I asked him if he still picking me up for the weekend and he said ofcourse. I would like to spend time with him, but it puts me down when I'm around people that are sick. Should I go to this Gig and tell my boyfriend to stay at home and get better? Or would that be a little harsh?

I think you should go to the gig (if he doesn't mind). I wouldn't stay for the weekend especially if he has someone at his place who can look after him. It would be nice of you to visit him though if that is possible

well.. why not just say exactly what you said here to him. that you feel uncomfortable when you are around sick people, then im sure he'll understand, you both will have plenty of there times to be together when your both in good health. its best to be honest with him and not have the stress on you mind that you missed out on the concert or that you feel bad on you boyfriend if you do go. so if your open and tell him the truth, you will feel better.
and a bonus is that he gets to know you abit better, that you dont like being around sick people, he can use that in the future. so its a win win situation if you come out with it.

being in a relationship doesn't mean someone owns you however you feel about things like not being comfortable around people who are sick then that is how you feel. he will still be there when you get back go enjoy yourself rather than being a lap dog, don't feel bad about it he will llive, but if you spend your time weekend in the house being a night nurse you will have not lived for the weekend.

Hint it to him that your looking forward to the gig. And he didn't get it. Just tell him frankly. When your in a relationship it doesn't mean you can't do and enjoy individual things once in a while.

Why don't you ask him if he minds rather than tell him. That way he is not going to resent it. he's sure to say he's cool with it unless he's insecure about you or just plain selfish.
