Perhaps because there are far more Christians on here than of the other faiths, so you don't have a good sampling to draw such a conclusion from. The extremists in Islam apparently have their own ways to express their arguments.

It comes with the territory, I suppose. Being fundamental anything and being a fanatic about it makes people act a certain way that always puts them in defense mode. Many are taught that they must constantly defend themselves from the evils of the world that are attacking them. When they see posts that they find threatening they tense up and type their defenses. I'm a Christian, but it seems better to debate than to accuse.

Because people while realizing they are in tittled to their beliefs also be live they are in tittled to inflict everyone else around the, with the same beliefs. Not to mention most people while claiming to be Christians here just turn around and start judging everyone else because they do not share the same beliefs. Quite sad when one of the Major teachings of Christianity is not judging one another. "Take the beam out of thy own eye before removing the splinter from you neighbors"

The best thing would be to state what your scriptures say and then leave it to readers to judge, rather than calling names or entering into an argument. This should be the ground rule of any discussion.

I'm going to have to speak up for the Christians here. They aren't mostly rude at all - they can be very pleasant. They perhaps mostly come across as arrogant, but I don't think it's deliberate, and it comes from that certainty that they're right. But they aren't the most exclusively argumentative. If one of them starts on me I can be just as argumentative back.
There are a few who try to start stupid arguments about evolution and other things they don't understand. But we can deal with that, thanks.

there are many christians who r argumentative just to back up their religion....but those r not really christians...u will easily come to know a Christian thru their answers...Christians r those who have accepted Him as their Savior ...not those who r trying to back up their religion...like the Catholics, and many other denominations.

There are more Christians here than those of any other faith. Obviously, then, you're going to see more argumentative ones.
An argumentative atheist.
