I barely remember any of my childhood. I remember a bit of my teens. My parents had a nasty divorce, my oldest and much loved brother joined the military and was deployed out of the country, and other things happened that I didn't much like. I guess my body's defense was to just block out things. The earliest memory I have is of my Dad bringing home bandaids from work (he worked at a children's hospital and would bring us home a couple neat looking ones sometimes). I have only a dozen or so memories from the first house I lived in (was there 11 years). I remember everday events more than special ones. That is why I scrapbook so much, so I don't forget my children's childhoods like I forgot my own. Already things blur alot and I'm only in my 20's.

I do remember my childhood, I remember when I was around 7, it was a lonely childhood, cause my brother and sister were way older than me, and I did not have anybody to play with most of the time.

I know no one will believe me, but my first memory was at 18 months and it was Christmas and my sister got the perfume pretty barbie and I was upset because I wanted to play with it. I remember when I was in pre-school, I was happy until I turned 8, I was molested for 8 years until I was 16. So before I turned 8 I was good and happy.

I remember my childhood because i was more happy that now.You know not worrying about what to eat were to sleep, everything being taken care of by my parents was good.I had no love affairs to bring me headaches. We were many in my family and so even at home i had so many people to play with.It was always noise at home because of us children and every little thing we saw and did was appreciated. We worked hard but working was fun as we were many and could want to see who would finish first. We enjoyed playing as well as working.I rarely wanted to be separated from my family and if i went visiting i would cry that take me home.My childhood memories are colourful and make me feel good.

My memories start from the age of 2 yrs old. I of course dont remember everything but I do remember my house and my Mum's friends coming over and the people that lived in our street and my bedspread and the pictures on my walls. And certain major events ie my Mum having my brother. I remember being happy.

I remember before I was 10, probably around 3 is my first memory. I was very happy, being a kid is so much less stressful. I always wish I could go back to before I was ten.

I remember quite a bit. I do tend to block out those things I don't wish to dwell on, but I cherish the good, easy times. We had pets, we lived in the country. No kids around to play with, but my little brother. But that was ok...we had good imaginations and played outside most of the time. My parents were together and got along. Yup, I remember alot.

Fortunately I do. I was a lucky and I have some wonder ful memories like most people I have some that aren't so wonderful. But I think generally we remember the good things not the bad. Obviously this is dependent on the situations.

I remember being happy.
I remember specific moments of happiness, especially with my dad, and I remember a general feeling of well being. I remember lots of times we all sang in the car - we used to take the song "old Mcdonald had a farm" and say, "on his farm he had a mommy" and then sing about some trait of mommy's. then, we'd go through each member of the family.
My earliest conscious memories go to about 2.5 years old, when I sat in the backseat of our buick from Maryland to California. I remember staring at that ash tray in the center backside of the front seat. Most memories until age 4 or 5 are just flashes of images without much meaning, like the ash tray.
