lets say, you didnt pay your electricity bill on time and the power, in your apartment, got shut off, for about 3 hours. if you had food with frozen meat inside, like hot pockets, can you keep those and still eat them after theyve sat there in your freezer for about three hours, with no power?

If the power is off for only 3 hours and the freezer door isn't opened during that time, the food should still be frozen. Foods like Hot Pockets and other completey cooked foods, if thawed, can be refrozen. I've done it many times.

A freezer can be left off up to 24 hours with out a power supply as long as the door is not opend once power is reinstalled it is always advisable to check the freezer just in case anything has defrosted if so it is best to use it straight away do not refreeze items as this can lead to food poisoning.

yeah..the hot pockets will be fine. the freezer was cold before the power went out, so it remained cold a little while even after the power was out. this means that the hot pockets would have remained cold for a little while. they would not have went bad during a 3 hr time period.
