I believe Evolution is just a theory, but then again, I know what a scientific theory actually is.

It is a proposed description, explanation, or model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation.

Evolution fits the definition perfectly. Not only that, but it has also been proven to be true.

There are many people here, who clearly prove that they don't know a thing about Evolution or intelligent. IQ is not a reliable test of intelligence, as it is culturally biased. Transitional fossils do exist, and the source I provide isn't propaganda, as you can see it is backed up by actual unbiased scientific research.

Only Creationist sites are biased.

You have probably never gone to a university. I am NOT trying to be mean, but seriously if you want people to start believing evolution PLEASE come of as intelligent. Any one who has EVER taken a biology class in college will tell you it is a theory. Evolutionists will tell you that it is a theory. To prove something you have to witness it or re-create it in a laboratory. No one has ever witnessed evolution. Yes there are arguments and "findings"that support evolution. Do you realize that people can not prove something is a million years old. There is NO conclusive way to test age! No one has witnessed the rate that carbon breaks down after a million years. In fact people have done carbon dating tests on live clams and found that they were over ten thousand years old... It is OKAY to believe the theory of evolution if you so chose. But know this it is only a theory! PLEASE read a science book that supports evolution... It will be classified as a theory!

Well, pretty much every scientist in the world. No matter what their personal "beliefs" they all will recognize evolution as simply a theory. It would be irresponsible if they did not as they still don't have the proofs necessary to elevate it to scientific fact. It's only the public at large that wants to call it fact, not the scientific community. Science recognizes it for what it is...at theory...probably the best theory available right now, but still a theory and an unproven one.

Mutation has been proven as fact...evolution still has a ways to go.

Nothing has been proven. Some people accept it and call themselves intelligent.

Others refute it and call themeselves more intelligent.

The point is that its our free will to accept or not.

The Vedic Scriptures agree to some extent. They say that the evolution is in terms of consciousness - evolution from lower level of consciousness to higher level. It does not agree with Darwin's theory. It says that all the species have been co-existing.

So a monkey evolving to a human form is not accepted because a human was always a human and if mokey has become man then why there are so many species of monkies exisiting even now?

There should be because it is just a theory. I have not seen anything about the theory having been proved. I haven't heard anything about the missing link having been found. Intelligent people do believe in the theory of evolution, and they are intelligent enough to admit that it is still just a theory. And I do not think think that people who do not believe in the theory of evolution are not intelligent.

I think that under the scientific community Evolution is still a theory. It has not moved into the state of a Law like the laws of physics or thermodynamics. But i don't know what is wrong with it that prevents it from becoming a Law.

Well they say my IQ test showed me to be gifted and I think evolution is a complete joke.
It has no explanation of how life itself started. Stanley Miller who is probably in all your textbooks stated that the origin of life is unexplained. The idea that dead matter can come to life is not consist ant with any scientific observation. So your theory has not been proven to anyone, that is why it is called a theory.
Sir Fred Holye of Cambridge University ( I hope he is intelligent enough to suit you) says statistically the chances of one cell evolving is the same as a tornado passing thru a junkyard and leaving you a fully functional 747 behind.

There is often confusion as to what exactly a theory is. It's our best explanation of a natural process at any time.

So we have our theory of evolution, with a few variations, which is our work towards improving our understanding of the processes.

And then there's the processes of evolution itself. They exist independently of our capacity to grasp them.

Which means that 'Creationists' are actually evolving, regardless of any evidence to the contrary.

My IQ is 136 and I cannot believe that an intelligent person can actually believe in evolution. Answer one question for me.

If all living creatures have evolved from lower forms, why doesn't the fossil record show this? Where are all of the transitionary forms? All that you see are fully evolved creatures. If evolution was true, then we would see millions of them. Where is the evolutionary proof, or jump, from an invertebrate to a vertebrate?

Personally, I would like to see the theory that life could come from Uranus taught in schools. It is real theory and should be taught in schools, because right now, there is only one theory and um how does the rest of it go oh and um yeah students need to hear about lots of theories or something like that.
