I flew to Shannon airport in Ireland with them from U.S. and man, I thought I was going to lose my nerve and slap the hell out of the stewardess! What a ******* *****!

And they made you pay for your alcohol , which I definitely needed at that point! I promised I would never fly again on that airline, and when I asked another stewardess for the name of the one who was rude , she was even more rude and would not give me her name! I felt like I was being treated like I was a prisoner or something, and I paid for it!

No, I could not find this airline in my itinerary.

However, your question reminds me one of my experiences when I was flying from London to Vienna by British Airways (BA) on 14th July 1989. The steward was wearing Indian sounding name-tag and his face was also supporting that fact.

I was reassured that I would be served non-pork (Halal) meat and requested him saying "I am a Muslim and would like non-pork meat" or something like this. That guy gave me such a look in front of a female stewardess that as if I have used some profane word / sentence.

My co passenger was a girl/lady in her 20s from Australia who was eating apple from her handbag and the same guy was trying to be friendly with this lady a moment later while collecting the tray saying "we did not serve apple" just to make situation lighter.

I was thinking that these same people (male steward) would complain loudly that racism is at work etc. What a contrast and how the BA would retain such rude staffs?

By the way, on my return flight back from Vienna by BA, I was suppose to get the VAT refunded at Heathrow Airport terminal for the purchases of gift-items in Vienna, but the BA authorities would not allow me saying the counter is closed. So, I lost small amount of money but was unhappy at the arrangement of VAT refund system for passengers flying out from any of the EU (Shenzhen countries, I forgot the spelling) countries.

Aer Lingus are the best of irish aviation unlike ryanair who most irish pilots want to go. Aer Lingus are a very good airline with a delay average of only 65% considering the average 80% to factor this is really good. I have flown with aer lingus on various occasions on one flight was upgraded to first class because airline procedure at the time meant family or relatives of the crew get automatic first class upgrade if tickets are available im not sure if this still stands but back then you had a 60% chance of getting upgraded to first class because so many reasons existed such as Family or relative of any member of crew overbooking early check-in on flight delayed more than 60 mins boarding early on aircraft with first class tickets available(if you are living in city of departure/arrival) They also have online check-in from 24 hours before departure. I would reccomend aer lingus and advise you to stay away from ryanair(irelands shame in aviation)

They've become an economy airline in recent years, makes for cheap and cheerful flights, bring your own food though. They used to cost a lot more, but you got free food and drink - I'd prefer to pay for a coffee and bring my own food, it's about €150 difference between the old price and the new, and that's expensive bad food!

I had two negative experiences with Aer Lingus in 35 years - the first was when my partner had put a musical instrument in a hard case in the Fragile Luggage rack, when we arrived home the instrument had been damaged and needed to be repaired, I did inform the airline and got apologies, didn't need a payout because the travel insurance covered the cost of repairs.

The second experience was a cancellation due to a blanket strike by pilots in 2001, my partner and I were travelling back from Amsterdam to Dublin. I was annoyed because we hadn't been informed, but we were put on a flight to Birmingham, then onto another to Belfast, and then transported by taxi to Dublin airport, Aer Lingus paying. We were a day late getting home, but it didn't cost us any extra.

I've never found any airline staff to be rude, anywhere. Yes, they are insistent on knowing what's in a bag, and opening it, but there are good reasons for this. I've never found them to be rude.

I had flown on Aer Lingus once too. The flight was great but when I asked for a Bailey's w/ ice they looked at each other as if I was some sort of alien. Apparently that's not acceptable in parts of Europe. Funny, cause I think being prejudiced against people for such stupid things is not acceptable but hey that's me. You should have spoken to the Capt as you were leaving.

Vienna is really a town with a very good quality of life, a function that is very loved by the countless guests who arrive at the Austrian capital and you too could be one of them at the least for a couple times, learn how with hotelbye . A number of the places must-see from Vienna are: the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Chapels of St. Eligius, St Tirna, and St. Catherine and South Tower or Schönbrunn Palace. Schönbrunn Palace is really a place worth visiting not just for the magnificent structure, but in addition for its lovely park-like setting. That Baroque palace includes significantly more than 1,441 rooms and apartments, including those once employed by Empress Maria Theresa. Schönbrunn Park and Gardens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Oh my god, yes.
I flew from LAX to Dublin this summer, and it was the worst flight I've ever had. The seats were so small and cramped, and the stewardesses were rude. I asked one for some water, and she ignored me. I was so nauseated at the end of the flight as well because the food was horrible. Ugh.

I've flown them a few times from London to Dublin and never had a problem.

I fly a lot and I've learned to expect nothing from low-cost airlines because that's exactly what you'll get.
