My hair is similar and I just recently found something that actually helps. Sunsilk Anti-Poof 24/7 Creme. You add a dollop to your hair after you towel dry it and it dramatically reduces the poof. Works great! You can go here to get a free sample of the 24/7 creme along with a sample of the shampoo and conditioner.

After I tried the free sample I ran right out and bought it.

Oh I particularly have an identical situation!! i do no longer advise perms simply by fact the chemical components are incredibly adverse! Your different determination is to apply a curling iron with a thick barrel (a million.5"). i understand you suggested you have no longer have been given time yet this methodology takes 10 minutes and is trouble-free. Spray your dried hair with some coronary heart protectant and divide it into 5-8 vast sections. be conscious some wax on the size. commencing on the factor of the roots, wrap the hair around the tong and carry it in a vertical place for greater or less 10 seconds. launch the hair from the tong and carry it on an identical time because it cools (or use a pin to maintain it rolled on an identical time as to circulate to the subsequent section). while the hair is done and funky, run your palms on your hair to interrupt the vast curls into smaller ones and spray a mist of hair spray! Voila!

I have naturally curly long hair and mine did the same thing until I tried john freida frizz ease...the whole line is awesome! Its a step process product and i think there is 5 steps altogether starting with the shampoo as step 1 etc. Its around 5 bucks for each step but is totally worth your bucks! But really the main thing you need from the line is the frizz eaze serum...it does miracles!

In all reality you have curly hair! It make look wavy but this is what you do, when getting out of the shower, put some gel (Strong gel) in your hair, began to scrunch it, the spray hair spray through out continue to scrunch, while blow drying upside down. continue to spray hairspray while blow drying, the when completely dry, and i mean all the way dry, style!

I have very long & wavy hair... in order to straighten it I purchased a "chi" iron from the hairdresser I see. It takes about a half hour but it works. Don't buy a cheap one as you'll burn your hair, only the chi irons from the hair dressers are safe to use.
P.S. My hair is down to my rear end so trust me on this

Your hair may be dyed out try using a moisturising shampoo and conditioner and running a leave in conditioner through your hair and letting it dry naturally wouldn't hurt. Stay away from blow dryers and hair straighteners.

from experience.......... if i dont want to make it look especially nice just presentable-after the shower brush out then pull into tight strong ponytail-it usually keeps smoothe
if want to look real nice use a really good gel! and you should just gel that hair up till you have control!
good luck!
i just learnt to live with it! thats who i am!

I have the same hair type, and here's what I do. After showering, I comb my hair and put on a bandanna. If you do this, the bandanna will flatten your hair as it dries and no more poofy-ness. :)
