I love reading and on average I read a book a fortnight.

I find the best thing to do is make sure you're comfortable and relaxed and make sure there are no distractions, such as radio, tv or other people chatting. You'll soon get lost in it.

Or maybe you're just not picking the right books to read. A lot of books sound great on the back but are actually really long-winded and can become frustrating and boring. Maybe you need to start on something a bit lighter.

well for one you seem to like that word can't, that is giving you an excuss not too, and is also telling you that you can not do this, when you can if you were to change that to can a positive word, and believe it. You can do anything you really want to , if you really want to, you need to try to quit using those self defeeting words, like but, can't shouldn't , should of , couldn't, I am stupid, or any thing that is neg. cause as long as you use those then you are going to believe it. You proably have low self esteem if you are telling yourself you can't. Some times we forget how to image, i know i did that , i couldn't see images in the clouds, i had to try and see them again, so you see it is how you are thinking, an if you keep thinking that way then that is what you are going to believe.

Your Mac has nothing to do with it. ALL RAW photos MUST first be processed in a RAW converter. ALL cameras that have the capability to shoot in RAW format will also come with the software to make the conversion from RAW into JPEG or TIFF. If you have Photoshop, you can do it within Photoshop, if not, then install the RAW conversion software that comes with the camera. Once converted to JPEG or TIFF, it makes no difference if you are using a MAC or PC, the file will be readable. Also, RAW photos do NOT look better. They look WORSE, .... until properly converted. The RAW image is just what is says... the digital raw data that YOU must work with to produce a proper image. It is not some magic way of shooting that automatically gives you better photos. It is a format that REQUIRES YOU to intervene in the processing of the digital file. So RAW has the CAPABILITY of better photos, but not until YOU process it with a converter program. steve

Try to remember yourself at a certain place that you have been to in the past. When I read a book I imagine a place that I have been or a house that I or someone I know lived in, it makes it easier.

Its possibly a form if dyslexia.. I also think the fact that you are aware of it, may have caused some amount of frustration - which will affect your concentration and your ability to 'imagine', when reading.

If you are an academic, request to see an 'educational psychologist'.

About 40 percent of the population can not form images of what they are reading or are told. That is life, don't worry about it. Most public school teachers fall in the same category as you do.

Has there ever been a suggestion by medical professionals that you may be ADD?

*DAV*-- You claim 40% of the population has this trait? I find it hard to believe, but it may be possible...where did you get your information?

You probably just haven't got a very active imagination. I wouldn't worry about it, its just one of those things.
