All the kittens I've ever had (5 at differant times) have done that. It's 100% NORMAL. Really, cats' love being crazy. My cat will sit still and then for no reason jump 2 m up the wall. Don't worry, if your cat is a male, this is even more normal. Get your cat fixed at 6 months, and it will stop. (ps, there are no such things as ghosts)

i guess you need to feed the kitten, here's how you can feed the kitten Purchase kitten milk replacement formula (KMR) and supplies such as syringes and bottles at a local pet food store.Sterilize the syringes and warm the milk slightly, according to the instructions. Then, put a few drops on your wrist, to ensure it is not too hot. Do NOT put it in the microwave; this will cause bubble of very hot or very cold formula in the bottle. Instead, put the formula in a container and put that in hot water.Mix the formula immediately before offering to the kitten to ensure the best quality.Measure the appropriate feeding amount according to the weight of the kitten.Kittens 1 to 3 weeks old may digest up to two tablespoons for every 4 ounces of body weight every 2 to 3 hours. Put the milk in the bottle and make sure you can squeeze a drop or so out at a time. Syringes are said to be best for small kittens 4 weeks old and younger as bottle nipples may be too big or may allow for too fast or too excessive flow of liquid. Feed the kitten. Do this by sitting in the chair with a towel folded on your lap. Position the kitten similarly to the way it would nurse from its mother, with its head elevated and stomach resting. Allow it to continue nursing until finished, but do not overfeed.Encourage and stimulate burping by holding the kitten with its back resting against your body and gently rubbing its stomach.after that , keep the kitten in a warm bed so it could rest or take a nap. also, kittens that young can't defecate on their own. Normally, their mother stimulates their bowel movements by licking their bottom. It's very likely your kitty is stopped up. It's very likely the kitty is not completely emptying her bowels. Try taking a warm, wet Q-tip and very gently massaging the anus of the kitten (use the same pressure a mama kitty would use when she licks). This can stimulate the muscles to go to work on their own. do not put the Q-tip inside the kitten. the kitten could also be constipated. Try calling your local veterinarian over the phone and soliciting free advice. If the vet recommends an appointment , u should get the kitten checked out by the vet. good luck with the kitten hope i helped i starred:)

Most kittens will go through a period of time where they're really hyper and active, so that's pretty normal. As for staring at the wall, cats can hear things much better than humans can--there might be a bug on the other side of the wall or even inside the dry wall. I don't think there's a way to stop it--all cats at any age occasionally stare at walls looking for bugs, though most do so less as they grow older. It's natural.

My two cats often do this and I believe it is normal. Most of the time my cats do it because there is a dot or mark on the wall or something is reflecting itself onto the wall. I don't think it's a ghost, it's probably something very tiny on the wall that only the cat is noticing.
I would reassure your niece that this is just what kitties do, just like when they chase their tail. Maybe your niece could put a sticker or something on the wall for the cat to paw at then it maybe won't be so "scary" for her (and maybe she will find it funny! =) )
Good luck with the cat and I hope your niece isn't scared anymore!

I have a 'crazy' cat too.
She has play fights with herself and does somersaults into the bathroom door when I'm having a shower.
She, too, stands and talks to the wall!
But we find her entertaining and she is healthy and otherwise 'normal'.
I gave her a ball with a bell in it to 'belt' around the floor. This distracts her from her invisible friend (the wall) sometimes.
Take her to a vet for a check-up if you want to make sure she's ok. We did that. The vet could check her for responses (eye reaction etc.) to sounds/hearing etc.
Put some pictures on the wall where she tends to go to and tell your niece that they are favourite pictures that she likes to 'talk' to. That's if your niece is little. It'll help her feel more at ease with your cat.
Hope that helps. Maybe some odd ideas here, but perhaps worth a try.
Good luck.

well they do say that animals have a six sense!!!
is there maybe a small bug or floating spider web. my two always meow if there is something that they cant get to and they want me to get it down for them.
if it is a huge prob and its scaring you just don't let her i the room!! this is something that may not be resolved go could get a cat whisper in and see what they say if she does not stop!!
the only other thing is playing with her when she is in there use a piece of string and drag it all over the room .if she still goes back to the spot then try dragging the toy out of the room and See whether she follows.
she may just want to be in the room and fancies some company. try sitting with her in the room and see whether she still looks in the same place, if she does there may well be something Else there !!!!

good luck

first of all we have two cats that live in our house and one that lives outside and from watching them i have to say that yes your cat is crazy.......they all are that is why we love them so much:-)

second if there are pipes behind the wall, under the floor or some such thing the cat could be hearing that

My dad has a favorite saying..."Cats and kids" meaning you really can't explain the strange things they do all you can do is hope they don't embarrass you when you have company. :-)

It could be a spot on the wall
light reflecting on the wall
a small nat or other bug on the wall
a mouse in the wall

I do believe in ghosts and I can tell you a cat would run the other way!
