Without the use of Nukes. The US has too many to fight back with we would be in Armageddon times 4.

It's not Anti-American in the least. In fact, I am joining the Navy soon. It's a hypothetical question.

I'm just curious what others think. But if this **** gets out of hand and I get more answers like lumoruk, I will close this thread in a ******* blink of an eye. Keep your Anti-American comments to yourself, jackass.

BRITS OUT, you realize the US built most of the Chinese Navy right? Given that and the fact the US Navy is multiple times bigger, more advanced, and better organized, they wouldn't even come close to making it to shore. I think it's going to take more than that.

1 Complete Breakdown of the Chain of Command. Which would be darn near impossible, given the fact that it is so laid out and disperesed.
2An invasion force upwards of 5 million Men under arms with modern weapons and vehicles.
3 Getting somplace to stage your invasion force from. Where can you assemble that kinda force and we not know about it?
4 Transportaion to Invade across a huge area. You'd have to hit a huge dispeared area at one time
5 Something that would knock out the Law Enforment and Military. Otherwise a small group could restore order in 1 area and spread. Again it is disperesed over a HUGE area
6 Complete and Total Social Breakdown.
7 The willingness to take MASSIVE OVERWHELMING casualties as we have the most armed population in the world.
8 The abilty to prevent Reinforcements from entering the USA from our Overseas bases.
9 Securing ALL forms of Transportaion across the Country.
10 Secureing ALL Weapons, Ammuntion and their manufacture throught the USA. Good luck with that one.
11 Securing Food stocks to prevent there use by Gurriellas. Again the system is too dispered
12 Prevention of Respone by Allies such as NATO or The UK
13 The ability to maintain these steps for at least 10 generations to breed out the Beliefs of the people.
Given all that I would like to say it can't be done. But it can, MORE LIKEY is we will eventally go the way for the Romans.

My first instinct was to point fingers at the sentiment inside the US and say not as much as it would have taken 20 years ago but I can't say that.

I think it would be impossible. I think if there was a repeated offensive brought against the US on US soil that you would see common everyday citizens take up arms and come to its defense. OUr military would take the lead but I don't know many Americans that would EVER allow our country to be destroyed without fighting the good fight.

The US would have to protect its nuclear plants from invasion, protect our food supply from chemical and biological agents, protect our water supply, protect our airports as ever before, seal off both borders, defend our shipping lanes and ports, we would have to have a limited suspension of the constitution & would be under a curfew nationwide. We would also have to protect our communications systems. (The Chinese, as of 1-18-07, fired a missile at one of their own communications satellites and destroyed it. That means that soon anyone will be able to hit one of our's) We would have to trust US citizens and still allow them to bear arms according to the constitution. Our military budget and Homeland Security would have to be extended many times over. We may collapse economically from that. Who would extend us military aid or credits? Britian? I believe we would be on our own. Whether or not we would win would be dependent upon our own people and whether or not they would find this country worth defending. As for me, I would reenlist the first day or organize my own vigilante Army to defend our homeland!

I'm a 92G (food service) in the US Army and the quickest and easiest way to take out any power is to infect their food and water source with a chemical/biochemical agent.

Economic sanctions. Stop The US from importing and exporting. Civil war would ensue due to extreme poverty, resulting in the destruction of the country, and thus ending it`s world supremecy.
