What does it matter as long as your partner knows you well enough to please you. I wouldn't be suprised o shocked or anything I'd just be happy that I have someone to care for and love me the same way I do him and happy that we can share that bond through intimacy.

I wouldn't be surprised because it has not been my practice to dive into intimacy. There are methods of foreplay that will help you to determine if your ready to go all the way or not. Rubbing, caressing, and fondling will minimize the surprise.
