It limits freedom because people judge those they see wearing it (for better or worse). Believing gives you less restrictions. Personally I think censoring religious symbols is a violation of freedom as people may choose to be judged. In France they censored religious symbols in an apparent attempt to reduce conflict... Now here's an ironic statement: The French are so racist!!

Why advertise a generally vague religious sentiment?
Pick something you STRONGLY believe in, then determine the best symbol to promote it, prior to permanently (and painfully) stippling your flesh with an empty advertisement for something ill-defined...
