Try them with bacon and onion.

1 tablespoon canola or other vegetable oil
1/2 pound sliced bacon, cut crosswise into thin strips
1/2 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine

2 pounds Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed
5 cups chicken stock, vegetable stock, or water

1. Warm the oil in a heavy-bottomed pot set over medium heat. Add the bacon and sauté until it has rendered its fat and turned crisp, about 8 minutes. Add the onion and garlic and sauté gently until softened but not browned, 5 to 7 minutes.

2. Add the wine, raise the heat to high, and bring to a boil, stirring to scrape up any flavorful bits of bacon stuck to the bottom of the pan.

3. When the wine has nearly evaporated, about 5 minutes, add the Brussels sprouts. Add the stock, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the stock simmer until the sprouts are easily pierced with a knife, 12 to 15 minutes.

Half the sprouts and steam them til they are not quite done. Drain.

Heat a saute pan to medium heat without any oil/butter. Add about 1/4 of your favorite nuts - pignoli (pinenuts), hazlenuts, almonds, walnuts, whatever - and saute til the oils start to come out and the nuts are starting to be nicely pan roasted. Add 1-2 tablespoon of butter/margarine and the hot drained brussel sprouts. Saute all together until the sprouts are buttery and brown in spots. Don't let the nuts burn. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Do NOT let the sprouts get mushy.

Peel the top layer of leaves, cut off a little bit of the stem. Wash them. Put them in boiling water for 5-10 minutes and they are done. You can serve them as an accompaniment to meat or chicken dishes. Add some simple dressing like butter, olive oil, gravy etc.

<>Assuming that is the same as Brussels sprouts, the best way to cook them is to steam them. Then serve with either melted butter or cheese sauce.

The best way to cook them in in a little sugar water and butter. Also they are good with Velveeta cheese on top.
