I'm a guy over 50 and it's been my observation that for a majority of men in the US (I'm guessing 60-75%) the answer is NO. I'd venture to say the percentage in most of Asia and Africa of men who can't be "just friends" with a woman is above 95%.
For me and some men it is definitely possible; I'm happily married and have a number of women friends, some of whom I've known longer than I've known my wife. You have to be able to think of someone as a person first before you consider their gender.

Well i think they can just be friends without him thinking of her naked. But there are very few guys who won't think of her in bed!!!! From experience i know that most guys do think of a girl in some sort of sexual way. (even if they are friends)
Hope this helps. have a great day

I have several guy friends and I really don't think they're ever thinking of how i'll "be in bed" or whatever. They're very sweet and I just can't believe that every single one is corrupt.

Yes it is possible. Either the man must be engaged in some other relationship or He must be a very strong willed man.
It also depends on the women. If they want to have someone they will have him as men are very vulnerable in these sort of things.

not unless they have to be (work colleagues etc), because there is usually sexual tension in one direction or the other- it may not be strong, or it may not be appropriate.. but it is highly unlikely a guy and a girl would just "hang out" because they get on well.. without one being attracted to the other, but thinking the other one is not interested, or its not the right thing etc.

Yes, but it depends on the maturity level of the guy, and whether or not the girl leads him on or not. You may have to establish some guidelines if the line is crossed so you both have an understanding: "friends only."

What might want to be the point? a minimum of it truly is a adult men attitude. it would want to be like going to the dinner table each evening and in basic terms sitting next to the nutrients yet by no ability easily ingesting something.

the very best friend I ever had was a guy...and we never did ANYTHING...he was always around...we even slept in the same bed a few times and it was all purely platonic. But to be honest, that was a rare thing..usually that doesn't happen.

Absolutely! You have to lay ground rules down in the beginning of the relationship. Be honest and tell him that he is someone who you would like to be friends with, but there is no chemestry there for romantics. If he is a good friend he will understand...if he does not then you dont need that kind of friend and find another.

imagination is one thing, and doing it is another thing.
most men try to know a girl by being friend. after a while, men can find out it if she is cool for being girlfriend or jsut friends.
men think about sex every 6 seconds, and it is their nature. as long as he learns to respect, thinking is fine!
