no coffee will not affect it, but it takes quite some time till your body does do this and it doesn't cause everyone to hallucinate things like staying up for close to a week straight

Why might you elect to try this? i don't think of I understand. Are you speaking of 'an altered state of understanding?', that's actual extra advantageous. that's like lucid dreaming. that's a bigger understanding, that's a lot extra secure. that's a grey area between being wide awake and falling asleep. No, do not drink coffee...purely enable your self relax and hear a tape or CD that has mushy sounds of the sea...or a mushy rain.

Sounds like a well executed plan. Yes, it'd affect you. And depriving yourself of sleep to hallucinate and be delusional isn't very smart. You're going to end up malnourished and it is going to leave your brain with serious damage.

Geez, that'll mess you up. Just pop some shrooms if you want to hallucinate so badly, probably do less damage than doing what you're planning.

It might be better trying to have sleep paralysis in which case you wake up while your body is paralyzed. You also tend to hollucinate during sleep paralysis. I don't think you can induce it, but try waking up 3 or 4 in morning when you're likely to be in REM sleep often.
