Monothelism means the teaching that there's only one will in Christ the God-man. It's condemned as heresy by the Church, who teaches that there are two wills in Christ the human and the divine, Christ's human will was always in conformity to the divine will. Strict monothelism would imply monphysitism ie that there's only one nature, the divine, in Christ, also a heresy -Christ is true God and true man.
