Erm...don't animal "parents" typically abandon their "families" as soon as their "children" grow old enough to be viable (i.e. sexually functional) "adults"?
As regards the space available on the ark, and the length of time they were to spend there (a YEAR, read the account), I'd say Noah & Co. collected babies or very young adults; they take up less space, and consume less food, especially if they are too young to breed till they get off the ark!

There may be alot of symbolism in Noah's story. Then again there may not. But I do trust the Bible.

No they did not.
It is fair because of their refusing to heed Gods commandments, they choose to be disobiedent. Because God wanted to protect those obiedent ones, he did give others warning. Only eight of them listened.

The spiders didn't they sneaked theirs on. All the others families were killed by hunters that's why they were saved. I got this straight from God he told me last night in a dream. BB

No, God sent them as midget baby animals so they would all fit on the Ark and then God drowned their parents unceremoniously.

I believe they were perfect and unmated male and female and therefore have no offspring.
