Jewel describes a stone, as in semi precious or gems tone. No.2 is the American spelling of No. 3 (jewelery/jewelry). Jewellery is the British spelling and is describes items that we use to adorn ourselves.

If I spell it out, will you yell at me?
Jewelry is what most people use over "jewellery" (which I'm not thinking is an actual word).
"Jewels" refer to the individual gems. For example, a necklace is a piece of jewelry, but it may or may not contain jewels.
