strep test came back negitive yesterday. the day i went in just my left side was swollen. now both sides are swollen and my ulva.

Tonsilitis. Did you get antibiotics? Tonsilitis can feel as bad as strep throat. Gargle with peroxide... especially if you see white bumps on your tonsils

There's other things besides strep that will effect your throat. Sinus - post nasal drip. Alot of things are associated with an Upper Respiratory Infection. No, you may not have strep. But, you may have something else. Load up on Vit. C. Zinc. B-complex. If it doesn't go away, I"m sure other signs will appear, fever, cough, etc. It could be a small strain of some kind of bug. Don't worry about it. Take mega vitamins, sore throat lozenge, and see if you don't feel any better. Of course, if the redness and swelling don't go away in a few days, it might be worth a check again. Good Luck. Feel better

you have a tonsilitis.

tonsillitis:

A very sore throatsore throat with red, swollen tonsils; there may be a white discharge or spots on the tonsils.
Swollen and tender lymph nodes in the neck under the jaw.
A low-grade fever and headache accompanying the other symptoms.

get a second opinion, and ask for a STREP and MONO test.
