I like the Crunchy kind best.

Crunchy all the way.
There used to be a restaurant around where I live that served an Ultimate PB & J. It was open-faced on thick bread, with crunchy peanut butter on one side and strawberry preserves on the other, and they gave you little cups of extra strawberry pieces in syrup and extra chopped nuts on the side.
Now that I've made myself hungry, it's time for a sandwich.

smooth definately all the way. crunchy is ok but takes away from the yummy peanut butteryness

Crunchy as smooth by it's self makes me gag as it sticks to the room of my mouth.
I love to make chocolate crispie cakes like I did as a kid when the chocolate melted add a big blob of peanut butter and then mix in your rice crispies or cornflakes then put in bun cases and leave to set yum yum!!
