To those who say that all vodka tastes the same. I'm afraid you are wron. I have been a sommelier for a long time and vodka is one of my specialist areas. I can ASSURE you that I would be able to tell the difference between cheap and premium vodkas, and I am not alone in this. I refer you doubters to the following test on 'Mythbusters' (they seem to feature quite highly on Y answers). Please check out the 'top-shelf filtration' myth.

Regarding the vodka for your jelly (sic) shots, I would have to recommend that you buy the CHEAPEST vodka you can find in your local budget supermarket. You will find that the more expensive and better quality the vodka, the more difficult it will be to set. The jelly itself will mask most flavour so concentrate on getting the mix right. With cheap vodka, you can make stronger jelly shots than good stuff due to a higher setting temperature of the mix, caused by the impurities so just get the worst stuff you can find!
Hope this helps.

ALL vodka tastes the same, the companies that produce the dearer brands may try to tell you that there's is better but this is not true.
In independent tests EXPERTS could not tell the difference in price.
Vodka is the only spirit where this is true though.
BUT make sure you get pure vodka, some of the very cheap brands will try to dilute the vodka with water and other chemicals (which is what gives you headaches/hangover). A way to test is if it is not pure, parts of it will freeze, whereas pure Vodka will not freeze (unless taken to unrealistic extremes).
I always drink supermarket's own brands which is half the price of Smirnoff and tastes exactly the same.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU5x2
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

You can actually take aristocrat and run it through a water filter like a Brita and it will taste just as good as Grey Goose. That is about the only differences in Vodka is how many times they are filtered.

Smirnoff is the best cheap brand in my opinion. A lot of bars use it for the well brand.
