The wife and I went back and forth on this, we finally agreed that 3 years apart would be ideal.

I think 2 years is a good gap, especially if you're getting older. My sister and I are only 11 months apart and it was not ideal. First, it was a lot of work for my mother in the early years. Second, it was hard on my sister and me. We became too competitive in school, with friends, sports, etc. I think two years apart in school is ideal. If your wife is 35 then I don't think her age is an issue. I had my third child at 34 and everything was fine. Good luck to you!

I waited 3 years between my children. I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. They get along great, I know when a women hits 35 and above its harder for her to conceive and the doctors likes to check for diseases. Like if she got pregnant the doctor could possibly be worried about downs syndrome and other genetic diseases. I know several people though that has had children all the way up until they was 42 and they were nothing wrong with there babies. SO good luck

there is below a three hundred and sixty 5 days between both instruments of twins, and there'll be 16 months between the 2d set of twins, and this new infant due in June next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. I even do not understand of the acceptable age hollow, yet some thing better than 11 months is an limitless progression.. on the plus part, having twins, then a clean infant is demanding on the youngster who isn't a twin, so a minimum of this new one will fit in at the same time with his/her slightly older siblings, as there is very no longer that significant an age hollow between them.

Being a mom of 3 kids, i think the best gap between kids is 3 years. Concerning your question on the effect of bearing a child at an older age, i think, its case to case basis. I suggest u see your OBGyne and have a thorough check-up BEFORE you proceeded on getting preggy again. This way, knowing you are healthy enough to bear another child, wont make you worry along the way which may affect the child ( to be ) in your womb. Goodluck!

Believe me...... when the first child is out of nappies and nearly ready for the giant step into a 'big bed' Second child will also be then ready to 'help' Mum and Dad with the new arrival and the jealousy part of bringing home a baby will be reduced.
They have certain testing proceedures to redice risks to older Mums these days...... but if your wife breezed through the first pregnancy then she will probably breeze through the second... cept the bub might be a bit bigger.
and.... whoa.... who said 35 is old???!!!

I would get potty-training well underway before trying. That way you don't have two kids to buy diapers for.
