I have noticed when I ask a question, my points dicrease. Is this fair?

Asking a question does not necessarily means I do not know the answer. Sometimes I am just curious about how other people''s answers would.

What happens if a person doesn't like your answer they can give you negative points happens a lot here on religion site, even when You completely answer a question.
I notice some evade the question entirely and then people will vote them best answer which really should not be right.I figure if some one doesn't answer the question or is here just to cut someone they should not get best answer, But then there are always those here that are just out to get points will have friends rate them and a shush . Good thing I am not here for the points just to truly help and nothing else.

yes it cost to ask questions, but you will be rewarded for other activities, like logging in is 4 points-answering a question is 2-having an answer selected as the best answer is 10-and voting or rating an answer is one I believe, its a fair system

You noticed that when you asked a question, your points decreased, and yet you asked another!

Questions cost points, Sparky! Nothing in life is free. Yes, it is fair ... if you want answers, it's gonna cost you! At least it isn't money, dude ... you were given "free" points (which you did not earn) when you first signed up. Is that "fair?"

If you had read The instructions you would know questions cost five points each. Answers pay two points 10 points for best answer. OO

It costs you 5 points to ask a question, so just start answering more questions to catch back up.

No, it doesn't seem fair, but that's how it goes...posting a question costs you 5 points.....just make it up by answering other's questions....each answer gets you two points!

u should not afraid for asking questions just for decreasing the points....keep asking questions if you want to increase your knowledge and want to know the way of thinking of people.

If your worried about it..then don't ask questions like this one. But I do think they should maybe lower the amount taken out

Do points really matter?...... your on here to learn something new or to help someone out. What are you going to gain by accumulating points anyway.
You should only ask a question when you need to learn something not just to see how many people will answer you.
