If we all are sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, would not this imply that we are offspring of incest?

Regardless of any justificaction, why incest is forbidden?. I personally believe it should be forbidden.

If anybody has a different story about our origin and procreation, please indulge me.

Whether you believe in Adam and Eve or evolution, some suspect coupling did take place for the human race to evolve from the numbers of early man to the population we have now. I doubt cave men were giving any thought to morality.

Sure why not. If anyone believes in Adam and Eve then they have to believe that we all started with them. so if we did then we would all look the same. Not like twins but very much the same.

Man came from at least three different apes. Probably more in the begining. Some progressed faster than others. Some did not survive at all and now are forgotten.

That old saying that we all were created wqual is not true at all.

So what. If you actually believe the bible, in other words you believe that we all came from Adam and Eve... Then Why would it bother you that Cain and Able married there sisters? But if you really feel dirty now that you know that thousands of years ago you have a relative that married his sister.. If you are bothered by something that happened that long ago... Well please do not research the sexual habbits of those people in your family tree.. Some where along the line you probably had a great great grandfather who got his daughter pregnant or something.... Good luck

incest didn't apply till a lot later in bible history, until the imperfections caused by adam and eve's dissobedience started to have an effect upon mankind

But about 2,500 years after Adam became a sinner, God prohibited incestuous marriage. This served to safeguard the offspring and it elevated the sexual morality of Jehovah’s servants above that of people around them who were then engaging in all manner of depraved practices.—See Leviticus 18:2-18.

I often wondered the same thing. I mean if we are all the offspring of 2 people, that would mean that their children would be inbreeding, which in turn means that all of us are inbred. I'm not sure what to really state or feel about this, but its one of those things you are just not suppossed to question I suppose. Maybe you should consult a pastor on this one if you really want a detailed explanation.

Cain didn't even have a sister. He just had a wife that was kinda first mentioned like she'd been there all along.

Even beyond the contradictions, we know that the story isn't true because of actual history that contradicts it; it's just a story, not meant to be taken literally.

I asked that same question once to a pastor a long time ago....I got "we shouldn't question the Lord, dear".....but I wonder about it still...even as a spiritual advisor....I always "dread" this question when it gets asked to me....I simply say that there are things we will never understand that comes from the Bible....

I don't believe in incest either.....not one bit....so there are probably alot of people in your position....
