I feel childish. I have a serious crush on a guy in my college class....it feels like a 6th grade thing when you like a guy a lot even though you have nevertalked to him. Actually we did just once. But since then, I just can't bring myself to say hi to him anymore, or even look at him. He is the type who is not forthcoming but I'm not sure if he is shy or arrogant. He has also never said hi to me, but I know he recognises my presence...long story. I always feel like I should say hi to him, that's why I feel bad like I've done something wrong. He probably doesn't care but I'm not sure and I am worried he may think I am snubbing him or playing him. Also I feel he is avoiding me on purpose. He could be standing next to me, then he would move further away from me. N when I finally look at him that day, he turned away purposely to avoid eyecontact with me. I'msure he knows I like him, he takes notice of me. Does he think I am snubbing him? What should I do? He is not into me for sure?

We have talked before and we know each other's names, besides slightly more details. But we are not friends yet I guess.
to add, there have been times when I wanted to help him with some stuff but I was just too shy to. And I feel bad

Wow, if you go to U of Hawaii and are in engineering, you might just be talking about me :). Anyways, he's just like me: He's shy and is at least physically attracted to you. With guys like us, you gotta make the first move.

Initiate the conversation. Go up and say more than "hi". Ask him what his name is and maybe start a conversation about the class you are in. If he walks away, he's not interested for some reasons like maybe he already has a mate, he may be of a different sexual preference, he may be shy, you will never know until you ask. You'll answer you own questions when you are pro-active.

Well i enjoyed reading it. Women are normally professionals at keeping there feeling hidden from men but some are not so good or even like to let them known like yourself =) The unknown can be a bad thing and plays on your mind. You need to let him know for sure that way you can put your mind to rest. Sensitive can work well sometimes! use it to your advantage.
Sometimes you can think something up that couldn't be further from the truth. I don't know you or what you look like but what I've said has still applied.

Been there...done that....when two people like eachother, sometimes this is exactly the kind of behaviour you get to see..... turning away when being look at....stands near you then pretends to move away...they're just signals.......maybe he is shy....and he knows you like him so he is just waiting for you to make the move......if you said he takes notice of you, then he must have some kind of liking for you....just talk to him...say hi or whatever.....how are you.....just make some small talk first....and if he responsesn and get into a conversation, then ask him if he would like to hang out or something........ good luck

You probably know if you want you hae to ask.
It is just that simple. If you want then open your mouth and find out. What is there to be afraid of. Yes I know he might reject you and that would be devistating. Well at least you would know and you could get over tht much quicker.
Just walk up and say Hi buster I like you. Well you can think of something.

If you are serious about this guy,just go ahead and ask him.find out whether he is into you or not.Probably he is shy too.I am sure he is not avoiding you.Just go ahead.Nothing to loose.Put a smiling face and take a deep breath..then you go..good luck.

try harder. if you have ANY physical appeal, write him a creative letter and maybe he will understand more.
if you have no physical appeal... sorry. you lose..
its just... the fact that he never really spoke to you, and the thought that you like him turns him off. you seem foolish and naive.
maybe his personality sucks!
