Well, I got my tongue pierced about 3 weeks ago and in front of my piercing is this little tiny hard piece of scar tissue, I mean it isn't that annoying but is there anyway I can make it go away? I tried brushing it with a toothbrush and it got a little swollen for a while and went back to its same size. Will it go away naturally or what? Thanks.

There is no way I am going to take out my tongue piercing so I am going to trust the girl who said she had one but it goes away. Plus I looked online for some information while I was waiting for these answers and I saw one little thing about scar tissue and it said that just because you take out the jewelry doesn't mean that it will just disapeer. But anyways, Thanks for the answers I do appreciate them!!

guague your jewelry up.stretching the tissue with remove the scar tissue without much hassle and you can always shrink it back down when youre done if you dont want to keep the larger guage. See a professional piercer just incase this might be a problem.

I had my tongue pierced 7 years ago, and it closed up two years ago... I still have a little bit of the bump left, but it has gone down since the barbell's been out.

god i hope so lol i got the same thing n it didnt bother me till i noticed it now it drives me crazy lol but the chic who peirced if sed its jst cause of the angel of the piercing n it will go away in about 8 weeks

if you remove your tongue bar, it will go away. if not, it will get bigger and more painful and you will eventually have to take it out anyway so a doctor can lance off the keloid. it is a minor infection from to much movement during healing. take it out!
